    Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Kathleen’s work is influenced by Integrative, Humanistic, Person-Centred and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She is passionate about her work and believes that therapy changes peoples’ lives. It facilitates emotional healing and enables those engaging in it to become the best person they can be. It also offers hope, understanding and effective ways to create a new identity rooted in self-acceptance, empowerment and inner peace.

She recognises how difficult life can be at times and life events (past and present) can cause anxiety or depression which, in turn, can lead to loss of confidence, low self-esteem, lack of motivation and feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness and powerlessness. However, emotions are normal. They represent a legitimate response to life’s difficulties. Kathleen believes talking through difficulties with a trusted therapist in a confidential, non-judgmental setting helps people to make decisions and changes that enrich their lives.

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Other areas of expertise include, depression, anxiety (including separation anxiety), panic attacks, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, unresolved childhood issues and long-term illness.

She is also very involved with an organisation which is dedicated to suicide prevention. Believing that a lot of our issues are rooted in our childhood she has a keen interest in inner child work.

Kathleen also values the practice of Mindfulness as a good therapeutic technique.

Kathleen’s fee is €65 per session
