Stephen completed his training in acupuncture with The Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland. He then trained in China and completed an internship with the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he also studied patent herbal medicine and Tuina (traditional Chinese therapeutic massage). In his practice he also uses cupping techniques and electro acupuncture for certain treatments.
Stephen treats a wide range of ailments but has a particular interest in the treatment of stress, depression, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), backpain, sinusitis, migraine, and infertility.
He has been in private practice since 1997. Stephen is a member of the Professional Register of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine of Ireland (ACMO). He is also an acreditted counsellor and psychotherapist.
