Deirdre graduated with a first class honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School. She is an experienced therapist who works with adults on a one to one basis and offers a confidential, non-judgemental and supportive setting for her clients. This enables the person seeking help to feel accepted and supported while expressing their feelings and emotions and the opportunity to talk about anything that is of concern to them.

Deirdre has experience working with a wide range of issues which include Depression, Bereavement and Loss, Anxiety, Relationship issues, Work related difficulties, Low self-esteem, Trauma, Stress, Suicide and difficulties coping with life. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and draws from humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural approaches. She has a particular interest in working with issues like Depression, Anxiety, Suicide, Childhood/Adult trauma, Bereavement and Loss, and Personal Development. Deirdre has continued her professional ongoing training in many areas and holds certificates in : “ Working with Trauma” with Babette Rothschild, a leading author in Trauma Therapy, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and Advanced facilitation Training in Personal Development

 

Deirdre believes that no matter how challenging the circumstances we find ourselves in –there is real possibility for change and a new direction. She has a particular interest in the personal development of the person. Through the process of counselling and psychotherapy Deirdre helps her clients to work through the issues and experiences that are adversely affecting their day to day life. Developing self-awareness and greater understanding can facilitate growth, uncover strengths and develop resources and skills-leading to greater self acceptance, a better quality of life and a more fulfilling future.

The fee per session is 60 euro
